It has been ages since I’ve written here. Life has taken me and my family in a number of extraordinary directions. We are finally ready to settle, so I am hoping to be here more, write more, connect more.
I saw this illustration on Instagram and wanted to share it with you:
The creator is artist Mari Andrew (https://www.bymariandrew.com/). When I saw it I felt that she was speaking directly to me.
I have often asked myself if I should continue discussing my grieving experience with others, given that it has been almost a decade since my mom passed away. A lot of times we get discouraged because people are not comfortable talking about grief. We might feel pressured to “get over it” and “move on”. In reality, we can only process our feelings at our own pace.
